ABOUT OUR ‘FUN’RAISER

Salisbury House is proud to introduce our new Community Connection ‘Fun’Raiser program. This program is Salisbury House’s latest effort in our long history of supporting the community. The program is tailored to put funds directly into the hands of schools, charities, daycares and sports teams who register with Salisbury House and give registered participants 20% of food sales for their cause on the days assigned to them.

The process is simple. An organization registers with Salisbury House by downloading an application form, filling it in and returning it to Salisbury House Marketing and Communications Manager, Duncan. Applications can be returned either by MAIL, FAX(204-786-2181), OR IN PERSON to our head office, located at our restaurant at 787 Leila Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R2V 3J7. Duncan will then contact your organization and walk you through the process.

Each registered organization will be assigned two days of the week, Mondays and Thursdays, for a period of four consecutive weeks, to raise funds. Your organization will receive and then distribute authorized letters with your designated days for fundraising to all friends, colleagues and families of the organization, who wish to participate. Don’t forget to include your friends who live outside of the city to participate on your select days. This allows people, who have the letter representing your organization, to go to any Salisbury House participating location, present the letter to their server or the cashier and have 20% of their food bill, excluding taxes and alcohol, donated to the organization designated on the letter.

Only one bill per letter will be accepted. As an example, a group of 12 with ONE authorized letter have breakfast, lunch, or dinner at a Salisbury House and their bill is $150 before taxes and alcohol. Salisbury House will then donate 20% or $30 to the registered organization identified on the letter. The more people your charity, school, daycare or sports team can distribute the letters to and who eat at a Salisbury House on their designated ‘Fun’Raising Days, the more money you raise. No hard sales pitch. No organizational nightmares of collecting the cash. No inventory to purchase. Salisbury House will handle everything but the distribution of the letters and getting your supporters out to eat to earn for you. What a tasty way to raise funds!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Step One: Download and print the registration form.
Step Two: Fill in the form and return it to Duncan Owen, Marketing and Communications Manager, 787 Leila Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2V 3J7 either by mail or in person.
Step Three: Once your organization is approved you will be assigned a Sals applicant fundraising number and four week period to raise funds for your group. You will then be able to pick up your specific authorized letters detailing the dates for which you can raise funds.
Step Four: Distribute the letters to your organization members, family members, friends and supporters of your group and encourage them to go to any participation Salisbury House location and eat!
Step Five: At the end of the meal, participants of your fundraiser present the authorized letter to their server or the cashier. THEY MUST SIGN THE LETTER AND THE BILL WHEN THEY PAY.
Salisbury House will track all the bills and letters authorizing funds to be raised for your organization and present a check for 20% of the total of all the bills received from your groups efforts within four weeks from the last day of your fundraising campaign.

RESTRICTIONS

    UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ARE GROUPS TO SOLICIT CUSTOMERS, OR DISTRIBUTE THEIR ‘FUN’RAISING LETTERS,
        IN OR NEAR SALISBURY HOUSE RESTAURANTS.

    • This promotion is NOT valid with any other Salisbury House promotion or discount.
    • Only Food Bills dated for the dates authorized on the agreement will be valid.
    • One letter per bill only. The number of people per bill is not restricted.
    • Groups of eight or more who wish to participate must book ahead at the selected location they wish to eat at.
    • The 20% donation does not include applicable taxes or alcohol.
    • Cheques will be issued to the registered organization on the application, NOT to individuals representing the organization, within four weeks of the last day of the groups assigned ‘Fun’Raising time period.
    • This program is open for non-profit organizations only.
    • Salisbury House reserves the right to restrict the number of organizations which will be authorized to participate.

With 17 locations, no matter how large or how small your organization is, whether you are a local sports team in the North End, or a city-wide charity, your supporters will find a Salisbury House Restaurant conveniently located for their participation.
